Jason Spraggins (book and lyrics) is a composer, educator, and music consultant. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Lambuth University and a Master of Arts in Education from Bethel University, and he has completed post-graduate coursework in Educational Leadership at Austin Peay State University. He has taught instrumental music privately and in the classroom. He currently serves as the West Tennessee Educational Consultant for Amro Music Stores in Memphis, TN. 
 

An active composer, Jason’s original concert band works are published by Alfred Music and GPG Music. His piece On a Starry Night (Alfred Music) was featured by the Eastern Wind Symphony at The Midwest Clinic in Chicago in 2021.
 

In musical theater, Jason co-wrote Crawlspace: A True Crime Musical  with composer Matt Glickstein, which premiered at Tennessee Tech University in November 2022. Staged readings were presented by the Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga in July 2023, with a full production following in December 2023.
 

Jason and Glickstein also create children’s musicals. Jo & the Gigalytes  premiered in June 2024 at The Lanaʻi Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA) in Hawaii, and their second musical, Flight of the Mothman, premiered in April 2025 at Hōkūlani Children’s Theatre of Molokai, followed by a second production at LAPA in June 2025.
